VIVAnews - Volkswagen Polo to be the strongest candidate the latest Malaysia national car. The signal is getting closer after VW officials reportedly met with the latest investor DRB-HICOM Proton namely in Hong Kong.
Reported by Business Times, Tuesday, March 6, 2012, when cooperation was running smoothly, VW invited the Proton using "DNA" Polo into Proton cars. It has also been done by adopting the Proton "DNA" of Mitsubishi Lancer cars in Proton Inspira.
Mutual cooperation is somewhat menuntungkan. Therefore, the VW Polo became one of the best cars in the world. With so Proton sales expected to soar up both in domestic and southeast Asia.
On the other hand, Volkswagen is being intensively targeting the Asian market to develop small cars. Proton considered the most ready to increase sales of VW's small car variant in Southeast Asia. DRB-HICOM partnership and VW is already entwined with the VW Passat in a factory assembling week, Pahang, Malaysia.
So what makes the VW Polo has been named as one of the best cars in the world?
This type hatchback car has a minimalist and modern design. VW Polo equipped with advanced safety features, such as ESP (Electronic Stability Program), ASR, ABS, Brake Assist.
VW is also what makes this car can make sure that parents do not have to worry if their children to ride. Not only that, the VW Polo also get a 5 star rating in EuroNCAP crash test. Polo is known as a car that has the practicality of the cabin space.
About kitchen spur, VW Polo has a capacity of 1400 cc 4 cylinder Multi Point Injection (MPI). The engine is mated to the transmission 7 speed Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG).
With the combination of engine and transmission, the Polo can shoot as much as 85 bhp at 5000 rpm and 132 Nm of torque at 3800 rpm.
With this specification, Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary Proton currently the largest owner of stock is certainly more tempted by the greatness of the VW Polo
